Competitor's Assistance Scholarship Awards

The New Jersey Council of Figure Skating Clubs is an organization of USFS clubs based in New Jersey. The Council was formed to improve, encourage and advance skating in New Jersey. Through the cooperative efforts of its member clubs, the Council presents an Annual Competition, usually in the spring. The Council has stewardship for the Anne Marie Dunn Memorial Trophy, the Anne B. Flower Memorial Trophy, the Phyllis Franceschini Memorial Trophy, and the Kern Trophy to name a few. Each year the Council is also proud to support deserving skaters by awarding scholarships.

The requirements for consideration for a scholarship are that the skater maintains a New Jersey USFS Club as their HOME CLUB, and that the skater must also have competed in USFS qualifying competitions for at least two years for a Senior Scholarship (Novice through Senior) and at least one year for a Junior Scholarship (Juvenile through Intermediate). It encompasses the figure skating disciplines of freestyle, pairs and dance. It does not consider synchronized skating experience. Scholarships are awarded based on skating achievement in the above named disciplines in relation to age, progress and attitude.
