Our membership year coincides with US Figure Skating membership and runs from

July 1 to June 30.  Membership fees are not pro-rated. All membership is processed

through EntryEeze.  Our volunteer and waiver forms are all part of the EntryEeze on line

signup. If you know you cannot fulfill your service requirement hours this year, you can

pay your $150 volunteer fee with your membership on EntryEeze.

In April, the volunteer hours will be reviewed and we will shred the checks of those who have satisfied the 4 hour service requirement.  If the services hours have not been fulfilled, the checks will be cashed.

Membership Types

 

FULL HOME CLUB MEMBERSHIP:  Includes Club and U.S. Figure Skating membership for two family members, including the right to vote as a Club member and to guest on Club ice; testing privileges; and competition privileges for the individual who is designated the Primary Member.  Additional members of the same “family” (defined as a single household and its dependent members) may become Full Home Club Members, with all rights except the right to vote, for a reduced additional charge.  In the event that the membership of the Primary Member terminates for any reason, the family member whose name is next listed after the name of the Primary Member on the membership application shall become the Primary Member.  Full Home Club Members must designate the Skating Club of Morris New Jersey, Inc. as their Home Club.  Full Home Club Members may, but need not, purchase ice time.  Full Home Club members are subject to the service requirements set by the Club.  The current fee is $160 which includes 2 family members.  Each additional family member is an additional $45.

ADULT HOME CLUB MEMBERSHIP:  Includes Club and U.S. Figure Skating membership, including the right to vote as a Club member and to guest on Club ice; testing privileges; and competition privileges for an individual who is eighteen [18] years old or older.  Individual Adult Members must designate the Skating Club of Morris New Jersey, Inc. as their Home Club.  Individual Adult Members may, but need not, purchase ice time.  Adult Full Home Club members are subject to the service requirements set by the Club.  The current fee is $100.

COLLEGIATE MEMBERSHIP:  Collegiate membership includes all the rights and privileges as Full Home Club membership, including the right to vote as a Club member.  This four year membership is available to full time college students and is not renewable.  The fee for the Collegiate membership is for a 4 year period.  Collegiate members are not required, but are encouraged, to fulfill the service requirements.  The current fee, which covers 4 years is $130.

 

INTRODUCTORY MEMBERSHIP:    Introductory membership includes all the rights and privileges as a Full Home Club membership, including the right to vote as a Club member  It is available for one year, only to first time USFS members.  Introductory Members must designate the Skating Club of Morris New Jersey, Inc. as their Home Club.  Introductory Members may, but need not, purchase ice time.  Introductory members are subject to the service requirements set by the Club.  The current fee is $85.

 

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP:  Includes Club and U.S. Figure Skating membership for individuals who teach skating and who are no longer competing or testing.  Every Professional Member must furnish the Club with proof of membership in the ISI, U.S. Figure Skating, or PSA and with a certificate of professional insurance covering the entire Club membership year.  Professional members are exempt from service requirements and do not have voting rights.  The current fee is $80.

 

ASPIRE MEMBERSHIP:  The Aspire membership is designed for skaters transitioning from the Aspire Learn to Skate program to a Skating Club of Morris membership.  This includes non-voting SCoM membership, with the right to contract for Club Ice, to guest on Club ice, to test and compete at the Basic Skills level for the individual member. Aspire members are encouraged, but not required, to volunteer in Club activities including the Morris Open, our annual competition.  Aspire members are eligible to take the following tests: pre-preliminary skating skills and freeskate, adult pre-bronze skating skills, and freeskate, and preliminary pattern dances.  The current fee is $50.  

 

BASIC SKILLS MEMBERSHIP:  Includes Club membership and U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills membership, including the right to contract for Club ice; Basic Skills testing privileges; and Basic Skills competition privileges for an individual.  Basic Skills members are not required, but are encouraged, to volunteer.  Basic Skills members are NOT eligible to take US Figure Skating tests but may upgrade to Full Home Club members to do so.  Basic Skills members do not have voting rights. The current fee is $25.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP (Non-Home Club):  An Associate Member is not a Home Club Member and has no voting rights.  This membership includes Club membership, which gives you the right to contract for Club ice and testing privileges for a single member.  Additional family members (defined as a single household and its dependent members) receive a reduced rate.  Associate Members may, but need not, purchase ice time.  An Associate Member must be a member in good standing of his or her Home Club and U.S. Figure Skating.  Associate members are not required, but are encouraged to volunteer.  The current fee is $90 for the first family member and $50 for subsequent family members.

HONORARY MEMBERSHIP:  Includes Full Home Club and U.S. Figure Skating membership for a small number of individuals selected by the Board for their extraordinary service to the Club.  Examples of such individuals are the founders of the Club, past Board members and retired coaches.  Honorary members are exempt from service requirements and do have voting rights.  There is no fee for honorary members.

 

The current service requirement set by the Club is 4 hours per family.  Two hours must be during the Morris Open Competition and the remaining 2 hours can be done at other times throughout the year.  If there is a year where we host two major competitions  the requirement is a minimum of 2 hours per competition.
